Understanding taxes

I just read this, and I thought it was great!

What taxes are like:

Taxes are like being forced to pour a perfectly good glass of clean water into a swimming pool and then taking the same glass and scooping up the water from the swimming pool – and then be deluded enough to call the chlorinated water a “service”.

I thought this was a pretty good way to describe the situation. What do you think? The blog this comes from really doesn’t focus on a certain politics, but I thought this was a bit insightful.

The point is, taxes… not good. If you want to know more, I’ve written about them before.
